HoReCa / Foodservice Sector — Sultanate of Oman A Reference Guide for Foreign Suppliers of Branded and Private-Label Products Market volume · Competitive landscape · Opportunities · Access requirements · Importer directory
Oman's national foodservice market is estimated at approximately USD 1.6–1.9 billion in 2025–2026 and is projected to reach roughly USD 2.4–3.0 billion by 2031, a compound annual growth rate in the region of 7.0 to 7.7%. It is the smallest of the Gulf markets covered in this series, and for that reason often the least contested by foreign suppliers. The structural fact that matters is import dependence: Oman produces only a limited share of the processed food its kitchens use, so a foreign supplier is not displacing domestic production but competing with other importers on specification, price and reliability of supply. The route runs through importer-distributors that handle registration, customs and cold chain. This study sets out market size and structure, profiles those distributors, explains the access requirements and documentation for foreign suppliers including halal certification, identifies the product groups with the strongest prospects, and provides a directory of Omani importers and foodservice distributors.
